This Spring | ‘The Gossip Game’


"The Gossip Game " Premieres Monday, April 1ST at 9PM ET/PT * VH1's new series "The Gossip Game," premiering Monday, April 1st at 9:00 PM ET/PT, draws viewers into the lives of seven media personalities covering the fast-paced, competitive urban entertainment beat in New York City. Every day, these ambitious women navigate the ever-shifting landscape of the media industry, where they strive to preserve their place in the 'pecking order' while chasing the latest exclusive scoop. These rivals, who often find themselves at the epicenter of celebrity controversy, forge an uneasy alliance of friendly foes as they compete to hit their professional marks by being the first to break the latest news and divulge the intimate details of the enviable lives of hip hop's movers and shakers.

The cast members of "The Gossip Game" are: K. Foxx, co-host of "The Cipha Sounds & Rosenberg Show with K. Foxx" on Hot 97 FM, Angela Yee, co-host of the "Breakfast Club" show on Power 105.1; Kim Osorio, Editor-In-Chief of The Source magazine; Sharon Carpenter, reporter on Russell Simmons' Global Grind website; Jas Fly, freelance writer, whose pop culture column appears on Vibe.com twice a week; Ms. Drama, host of the MsDramaTV blog and on-air personality at Major Playaz, an on-demand radio show, as well as Everywhere Radio on Sirius 40: Hip Hop Nation; and NYC Gossip Girl (Vivian Billings), whose HipHopGossipSite.com blog provides a taste of what the streets are saying along with exclusive dish on hip hop celebrities.

"The Gossip Game" is executive produced by Brian Flanagan, Matthew Ostrom, Laura Palumbo Johnson and Sean Lee for Magilla Entertainment, with Tom Ciaccio serving as co-executive producer. Also executive producing are Tone Boots and Jay Griffin for District Media and Mona Scott-Young for Monami Entertainment. Executive Producers for VH1 are Brad Abramson, Warren Cohen, Shelly Tatro and Jeff Olde. Vivian Gomez is coordinating producer for VH1.

Pharrell Joins Executive Producer, Rihanna, In Preparation For New Reality Series, 'Styled To Rock'

Style and music icon, Pharrell Williams has signed on to join the cast of 'Styled to Rock', a new series executive produced by pop princess, Rihanna.

According THR, Pharrell will act as a mentor on the 10-episode series, airing later this year on the Style Network. 'Styled To Rock' will follow 12 up and coming designers as they compete for the chance to style A-List celebs.

“We are delighted to have Pharrell, who is a driving force in both the music industry and fashion world, serve as a mentor on Styled to Rock,” said Salaam Coleman Smith, president Style Media. “Pharrell's unique aesthetic and commitment to individuality combined with Rihanna's vision for this series will enable our aspiring designers to hone their craft and learn from the very people who set the trends.”

Rick Ross and YMCMB head, Birdman, announced that they'll be releasing a joint project hosted by DJ Khaled titled 'The H'. The two rap moguls said they recorded the project back in 2008 within 10 days. Impressive. You can get your hands on 'The H: The Lost Album Volume 1' on Thursday May 23rd.

Beyonce Refuses To Cancel Another Show Despite Doctor's Orders...



Beyonce had to cancel one of her shows on the Mrs. Carter World Tour on Tuesday night in Belgium. Sources say the cancellation was due to dehydration and exhaustion, however, despite the explaination for the Queen's absense, rumors rose that she is expecting baby number two. Only time will tell.

Bey did write a letter, apologizing to her fans...



Beyonce returned to the stage on Wednesday, ignoring doctor's orders, claiming nothing was going to get in the way of her missing another scheduled performance...
"Now, my doctors told me not to perform tonight, but there was no way in the world," she told the crowd, saying her fans' support invigorated her.

"I just have to say, I feel so good to be on this stage," she said. "I have the best fans in the world."

Kanye Says He's Not A Celebrity, and That's Motherf--in' It...



Kanye performed at the Roseland Ballroom in NYC last night for Adult Swim. Yeezy premiered two new songs but the most memorable part of the night was Kanye's rant, during which he explained that this is his 'goddamn life' and that 'this ain't no motherf--in' joke'. Therefore, if you were wondering whether Kanye would poke fun at himself and his volatile relationship with the paparazzi during his appearance on Saturday Night Live on May 18th, wonder no more. He will not be.

"At what point did I become un-human where I had to turn myself back? Or maybe I was demonized. Or maybe I was treated inhumane and not human in that kind of situation."
